Snapshot (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a private photo-sharing app built around a simple idea: capture a moment and share it instantly with a small group of friends. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have over it. It applies to the Snapshot iOS app and any related services (together, the “Service”).
Snapshot is currently distributed as an open beta through Apple's TestFlight. Some details below may evolve as the Service leaves beta — we'll notify users of material changes before they take effect.
We collect the minimum information needed to run your boards:
We do not require you to provide a phone number, email address, or Apple ID, and we do not ask for access to your existing photo library in order to use Snapshot's core camera feature.
We do not use your snapshots or board activity to build an advertising profile, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Snapshots automatically expire and are removed from a board 48 hours after they're posted. Once a snapshot expires, it is deleted from our active systems; residual copies in backups are purged on a rolling schedule. You can also delete a snapshot you posted at any time before it expires.
If you delete your account, we remove your profile information and disassociate you from any boards. Snapshots you posted that have already expired are unaffected, as they no longer exist.
Your snapshots are only visible to the members of the specific board you post them to. There are no public profiles, no public feeds, and no discovery mechanism that surfaces your content outside of a board you've explicitly joined. Board membership is managed by invitation only.
Snapshot is a product of Levo Studio, and the Service runs on Levo Studio's own infrastructure, based exclusively in the European Union. We don't route your snapshots or board data through third-party cloud platforms outside the EU, and we keep the number of external processors (such as push notification delivery or crash reporting) to the minimum needed to operate the app. Any such processor is bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and is not permitted to use your data for its own purposes.
We do not share your snapshots, board contents, or friend lists with advertisers or data brokers.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law (such as the GDPR or CCPA), including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Snapshot is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect data transferred internationally.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
